The City of Woodstock, Georgia is seeking a Planning Technician. This full-time position coordinates the plan review and permitting process within the Community Development Department.
Job Responsibilities:
Education & Experience:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree; one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses or Certifications:
Requires a valid State of Georgia driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within thirty days of employment. Also, requires a Level 1A Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GASWCC) certification.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Physical Demands:
The work is medium work and requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, crouching, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mostly in an office setting with a noise level of frequently quiet to moderate. The position may occasionally be exposed to extreme heat/cold, wet, or humid conditions, bright/dim lights, dust or pollen, and traffic.
