Job Description:
To assist in directing the operations of the Credit Union facility, insuring the branch meets its financial, operational, service, and growth objectives. Underwrites consumer loans per credit union policy; reviews and approves underwriting decisions of branch personnel; Directs, develops, motivates and disciplines branch personnel. Assists in administering performance evaluations and recommend appropriate personnel actions. Will assist in monitoring all branch activities to insure all are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Also responsible for the following:

  • Underwrites consumer and in some cases mortgage and/or commercial loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policy.
  • Monitors branch activities relative to compliance & established objectives to insure that polices/procedures are followed and goals are met or corrective actions are taken.
  • Directs, develops, motivates, and disciplines branch personnel; recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Performs member service functions and can work a cash drawer processing teller transactions, as needed.
  • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled meetings.
  • Controls past due and charged off accounts for the branch.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • An associates degree preferably in business administration, management, or related field with 1 to 3 years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products, services, and related state and federal law regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills as work involves much personal contact with others inside and outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
