Gravion USA, Inc is seeking a highly skilled 3D Designer with a strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud software to develop high-precision embossing patterns for laser engraving on steel rolls. This role blends artistic creativity with industrial application, using a combination of 2D and 3D design tools to create textures and patterns for the tissue, packaging, and surface finishing industries.
– Design and develop embossing patterns using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dimension, converting 2D artwork into production-ready files for engraving.
– Use Photoshop to create and refine grayscale textures and depth maps for surface simulation.
– Import and manipulate artwork in Illustrator for precise vector pattern generation.
– Build 3D mockups and visualize engraved textures using Adobe Dimension or external 3D modeling tools like Rhino or ZBrush (when integrated).
– Export files in appropriate formats for engraving (e.g., .TIF,STL, .AI, .PSD, or CP2-compatible files).
– Create customer-ready presentations and pattern previews using Adobe InDesign and Bridge.
– Use Acrobat Pro to annotate and review customer feedback on pattern files or design proposals.
– Assist with interactive pattern or UI concept mockups using Adobe XD for digital pattern catalogs or online design reviews.
– Collaborate with production and laser technicians to translate visual patterns into manufacturable engraving data.
– Prepare step-by-step design workflows and asset libraries for use by the laser team.
– Communicate with clients and sales to align pattern aesthetics with branding requirements.
– Use Bridge to manage and archive design files and maintain version control.
– Create and export textures that comply with Gravion USA’s engraving resolution and depth standards.
– Adjust grayscale artwork based on engraving depth measurements post-test burns
– Competitive salary and performance bonuses
– High-visibility role in a growing manufacturing innovation company
– Access to state-of-the-art design and engraving technologies
– Creative autonomy and a collaborative team environment
– Adobe Photoshop: Grayscale texture creation, depth maps, surface visualization
