and operated company headquartered in Kleve, Germany. MSK is a leading supplier of end-of-line packaging
machinery and cold end packaging equipment for glass container plants. MSK Covertech is known for quality
in our niche segment of the packaging machinery market. We provide machinery to well-known customers
throughout the world in many industries (building materials, food-beverage, appliance, chemical, furniture,

Acworth GA (North Atlanta), and we are looking to grow our Team and capabilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are actively in search of an Assembly Technician (Electrical) who will work on our
Assembly Team to assemble end-of-line packaging equipment, including Automatic Hooding Machines,
Conveyor Systems, and many other types of automated machinery. The Technician will be expected to read
and use drawings, 3D models, Bills of Material, Electrical Schematics, and work instructions to assemble a
machine from start to finish. Additionally, this person would occasionally travel to customer facilities to assist
with installations. Because we are expanding, we are looking for sharp, capable, and energetic Team Members
to help us rapidly grow our business and maintain our status as the market leader. Our machinery utilizes
some of the latest technology on the market and we need quick-thinking, flexible individuals who can solve
problems independently and improve our overall quality and efficiency.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and prepare the list of components needed for assembly
  • Review drawings, bills of material, electrical drawings, and instructions for assembly
  • Route, label, and terminate wire/cables for various automation equipment
  • Organize wiring on machine, in cable trays, and in electrical cabinet
  • Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies using various testing instruments.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues and implement solutions
  • Install, Inspect, repair, and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Inspect and modify parts as needed
  • Use forklifts and cranes for moving large components or pallets of parts
  • Align components and attach with bolts, screws or various hardware
  • Use a ladder or lift truck to assemble components at up to 20 feet
  • Install moving parts, such as gears, shafts, motors, or bearings, and verifies correct operation of components
  • Install and label tubing for pneumatic systems
  • Use a wide variety of measuring and gauging devices to ensure proper assembly
  • Abide by all safety guidelines and contribute to improvements
  • Use computerized Enterprise Resource Planning software for labor tracking and inventory control
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Must follow all safety procedures and rules
  • Follow all ISO 9001 procedures

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of related electrical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expertise with install, inspect, repair, and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings
  • General working knowledge of electrical systems and schematics
  • Thorough knowledge in electrical systems, power generation, electrical drawings, and maintenance/repair.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in Lock-Out/Tag-Out rules and procedures
  • Completion of Electrician Apprenticeship/Journeyman or Electrician degree from a technical college.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience with automation equipment (motor installation, conveyor assembly, etc.)
  • Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs, electrical components, and motion control (VFDs/Servo)
  • Experience with the use of an overhead crane and/or forklift
  • Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems
  • Mechanical skills (rigging, measuring, and use of standard hand tools)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and/or Excel

Physical environment notes:

  • Electrical Wiring & Machine Assembly is performed in a warehouse/factory area
  • Installations will be conducted at Customers’ plants that range from air-conditioned appliance plants to dusty/hot cement plants
  • Employee must be capable of lifting light loads (motors, tools, film shafts, etc.)
  • Employee must be capable of climbing up and down MSK packaging machinery for troubleshooting and de-bugging
  • Employee must be able to work while standing for long periods
  • Employee will be required to communicate with Customer personnel and sub-contract labor
