Job Description

This position needs to be based out of the Atlanta, GA area, and will be 100% travel with an opportunity to stay local when that work is available.

NSPG Development is a full-service, commercial general contractor based out of Woodstock, GA that operates nationally on a variety of projects. We provide construction services, from design consultation, to build-out and retrofits, as well as new construction, providing facility operators maximum site efficiencies. We cover key design and execution needs while bridging the two for fast, headache-free projects. NPSG Development works with our clients to build spaces to fit within their budgetary constraints, and can manage the construction process, from design and permitting, to project execution and closeout.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

–Oversee all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects, including tilt wall and PEMB buildings, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
–Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring efficient and effective execution of project plans.
–Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
–Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to address any challenges and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
–Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
–Develop and manage project schedules, including planning, sequencing, and tracking of all construction activities, with weekly updates the schedules.
–Maintain accurate cost reports.
–Schedules subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
–Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.
–Performs quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
–Ensure the highest standards of safety are upheld, implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures on site.
–Walks project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
–Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite.
–Ensures subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
–Ensures that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
–Performs job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
–Provide leadership and mentorship to site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
–Willingness to travel to various project locations as required, with the flexibility to adapt to different work environments and cultures.
–Perform superintendent duties at multiple job sites within the same region, simultaneously.

Requirements

Qualifications:

–Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a construction related discipline, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
–5+ years extensive commercial construction experience in ground-up commercial construction, with a focus on tilt wall, PEMB, and TI projects. Experience in Mission Critical/Data Center, Self-Storage, and Cold Storage is a plus.
–Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
–Experience in safety/preconstruction/team development/retention/customer interaction.
–Ability to lead
–Strong engineering and construction management skills.
–Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with leadership, designers, engineers, customers, project team, subcontractors, and vendors.
–Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
–Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
–Solid time management, project organization, and problem-solving skills.
–High attention to detail and quality control.
–Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments in a demanding environment.
–Demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion, and professional courtesy; ability to work independently.
–Proficiency in Procore construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
–100% travel
–Must be able to pass background check and motor vehicle report.
