Job Description

This position provides technical support in areas of manufacturing and is responsible for continuous improvement, process development, process parameters/control/optimization and for equipment/technology support. Starting pay up to $80,000 depending upon experience.

Manage tooling projects from design through mass production
Designing and building fixtures (10% CAD time)
Involved with the tool design review
Oversee the prototype tryout as well as get the tool into production and hand it over to production
Troubleshoot production issues as they relate to the tooling
Work with tool shop or out sourcing once tool is designed

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (BSME)
Manufacturing background (preferably automotive)
5 years experience with plastics tooling (preferably automotive)
Processing knowledge to manage projects from quotation
Tooling trial qualifications to PPAP
Familiar with APQP process
Knowledge of relevant computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP, Internet, Pro/E and CADKey).
Good verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly
