What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

Every client is different, and that’s what makes home care so rewarding! You may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other ADLs
• Help with walking, mobility, and safe transfers
• Prepare meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration
• Provide medication reminders as permitted by the care plan
• Help keep the client’s environment clean, comfortable, and safe
• Provide companionship, conversation, and encouragement
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, shopping, or activities
• Pay attention to changes in your client’s health and well-being
• Be a friendly face and positive presence in someone’s day

• Are you comfortable assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility?
• How do you help ensure a client’s health, nutrition, hydration, and safety are being maintained?
• Are you comfortable assisting with transportation to doctor’s appointments, errands, or activities when required for the position?
• Can you commit to the availability you provide for at least the first 90 days of employment?
• Do you have reliable transportation and the ability to consistently arrive at client homes on time?
