Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise and promote safety
Understand and use tools required to complete tasks
Understand print tolerances and how to apply
Move material to the saw
Use proper lifting techniques
Understand and read a hard card
Cut material and understand the following: sample standards, finished piece size, tolerances, walk out the part to know first and last cut
Mark product
Know saw control menus
Operate saw in manual and auto
Send programs
Adjust saw as needed
Identify scrap pieces and log into the system
Fill out required forms and logs
Identify quality defects
Know the R codes (scrap codes)
Perform checks: conductivity, cut length, visual, weight, squareness
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED preferred
Minimum Experience: None
Certifications Required: Crane certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification (certifications completed during new hire orientation)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
