$22.00/hr Starting; $23.56/hr After Completion of Level 1 (Around 90 Days)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Perform production activities, under general supervision, which require a working knowledge of various processes, operations and machines

Understand safe zones

Sets-up and operate machinery and equipment for production operations

Advise relevant personnel of any problems with equipment and materials

Schedule and organize own work

Use stretcher machine to pull extruded material into tolerance

Understand hydraulic dangers

Understand E-stop locations and what they control

Know weight limits

Read segment prints

Stack segments from top to bottom

Verify segments are correct

Install segments

Find segment prints on the computer

Assume up-ender heads are hot

Operate tail stock and head stock of stretch machine

Fill out paperwork properly: blueprint sheet, hard card, inspector forms

Use and read a tape measure, micrometer and caliper

Use saw to cut material to specific lengths

Place scrap material in specified bin for recycling

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience: None required

Certifications Required: Crane certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification (certifications will be obtained in orientation)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals

Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions

Physical Abilities: Required to stand 100% of the time; regularly required to reach with hands and arms; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at any time; handle hot metal and tooling; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
